
Princess Leah Idowu
Princess Leah Idowu is a graduate student currently pursuing her M.A. in Mental Health Counseling. She is a New York City native of Nigerian (Yoruba) descent and is passionate about supporting individuals through life’s challenges, with a particular interest in family therapy. She is dedicated to fostering a sense of resilience, self-awareness, and emotional well-being in those she works with, helping them navigate personal struggles and build healthier relationships with a deep interest in the psychodynamic approach.
Princess’ commitment extends to assisting individuals of all ages and backgrounds in understanding their emotions, identifying their strengths, and uncovering the “why” behind their experiences. Princess believes in the power of a supportive therapeutic environment where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to overcome obstacles. Whether working with children, adolescents, or adults, she is deeply invested in helping clients process difficult emotions, develop effective coping strategies, and cultivate a greater sense of self-compassion.
At the core of her approach, Princess strives to create a safe and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings freely. She values multicultural awareness and works to understand the diverse perspectives and lived experiences of those she works with.
Princess is eager to expand her knowledge, refine her clinical skills, and make a meaningful impact in the field of therapy and counseling. She looks forward to helping individuals, couples and families heal and grow.
