Rachel Maki
Rachel Maki is a trauma-informed holistic Therapist and Reiki Master. She has been providing counseling and energy healing, as well as teaching yoga and meditation, for over 10 years. Rachel views healing as a multifaceted process that requires different tools and approaches at different times along the journey.
Rachel offers counseling that brings awareness not just to your mental health, but also to other layers of your wellbeing - including your body, your energy, and your spirit. Sessions with Rachel are rooted in talk therapy and may integrate energy healing or somatic movement when fitting. Rachel primarily utilizes CBT, DBT and Narrative therapy approaches to help clients create the changes that they want to see in themselves and the way they view the world.
Rachel’s undergraduate studies focused on Expressive Art Therapy and the healing power of creativity and self-expression. She received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Hunter College in 2019 in her pursuit to learn more about social justice and anti-racist practices. She remains dedicated to the work of undoing racism and is always seeking new ways to offer allyship to communities facing oppression.
